Apophenia
For the European summer of 2019 I was involved with the Spanish residency Mas Els Igols which holds a selection of artists with varying skills.
During this time I felt my style develop boldly with a vibrant abstract focus, the work is a nod to the Klecksography and ink blot tests seen in 20th century psychology.
The underlying repetition and symmetry of the work call to the human desire to find meaning in patterns, the body of work is named “Apophenia” and was a part of the Estudio Nómada group show in Barcelona, Spain.
